I grew up watching many a Disney shows. Signed up for Disney, most of them are not available. The ones that are, not available in my language (or a decent selection at all.. Ebglish and Spanish only, really?)There are official dubs that were aired on public television DECADES ago already, and Disney+ only has English for most of the shows IF they are even on there to watch. At least they finally have the Clone Wars (magnificent animation as always Tartakovsky is magnificent) but I had to wait for that as well. The app will crash/freeze if you hit the rewind button too often (not for people that like watching specific scenes again and again), and there is no option to either loop a video (Yes, I would like to have Biomes and Vehicle on in the background while I work/sleep), or to make it stop asking “are you still there” so at some point it will stop playing and if you have loud neighbors throwing on Dinsney+ to tune them out whilst you sleep is not an option. The quality of the videos themselves is top notch though, (volume could be louder, but visuals are GREAT). But, seriously, why own the rights to all these shows and not let people see them or make them available anywhere else? I want my nostalgic throwback to before. 3 STARS: because they’re sitting on the content they own, and deriving people of content that used to be readily available decades ago (used to be with basic cable for free, and now you get to pay and not see them)
Since the Walt Disney World Resort hotels started reopening to Guests after the closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, housekeeping service had to be periodically adjusted due to labor shortage and other issues.
As Walt Disney World continues to adapt to meet the needs of Guests, the decision has been made to reinstate full housekeeping service at ALL Deluxe Walt Disney World Resort hotels beginning January 15, 2023 (note that select Deluxe hotels already reinstated this service, including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House).
Here’s the updated housekeeping scheduled that will be in place starting January 15, 2023:
DELUXE Resorts will receive DAILY full housekeeping service.
MODERATE & VALUE Resorts will receive EVERY OTHER DAY full housekeeping service.
Disney Vacation Club Members staying at a DVC Resort will continue to receive housekeeping service based on their length of stay. Disney Vacation Club Members and their Guests may purchase additional housekeeping service by visiting the front desk or contacting housekeeping via their in-room phone.
Full housekeeping service includes: making the bed, replacing towels and amenities, cleaning the bathroom, emptying the trash and recycling, and tidying the room by dusting, wiping counters, and vacuuming.
As a reminder, Guests may still choose to decline housekeeping service at any time during their stay by opting out during the online check-in process, speaking with a Cast Member, or by placing the “room occupied” sign on their Guest room door.
Should Guests require additional housekeeping amenities or have specific Housekeeping requests, they may visit the front desk or contact Housekeeping via their in-room phone.

It was a life-changing surprise on live television for one New Jersey teen on Friday.
Mosope Aina had a look of shock on her face as the crew from “Good Morning America” told her she was on live TV and was about to get a big surprise.
The 17-year-old, who attends Essex County Newark Tech High School in Newark, New Jersey, was directed to look at a screen where Grammy Award-winning superstar Kelly Rowland revealed the news that Aina had been chosen for the 2023 Class of the Disney Dreamers Academy, a mentorship program which is in its 16th year.
The aspiring neurosurgeon is one of 100 students chosen for the mentorship program. Their names were all displayed on an electronic billboard in Times Square on Friday morning.
One of those names was Tavis Sanders, who is from the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia.
“I was just shocked,” said Sanders of receiving a message that 6ABC wanted to do an interview about his achievement. “(My school dean) was like, ‘6ABC is coming.’ and I was like, ‘wait, really?’
The 15-year-old is a 9th grader at Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, Delaware County. He’s one of just Pennsylvania students chosen for the annual workshop.
“When I called my mom she was like, ‘I’m so proud of you’… I’m so excited and I feel like it’s such a great opportunity,” said Sanders, who teaches children at The Franklin Institute about the bright futures that are possible for them.
Sanders and the other newly-chosen participants will head to Walt Disney World with a parent or guardian for the workshop, which focuses on Black students and other teens from under-represented communities.
The students go behind the scenes to learn about the careers and lives they can have if they dream big.
Sanders, an aspiring engineer, already has plans on how to make the most of his four days at Disney.
“(I want to learn) how engineering plays into those roles and how they make the roller coasters and how they make them function,” he said.
In addition to Sanders, and the two other students from Pennsylvania, three students from New Jersey were also chosen.
The students participate in everything from career workshops to communications, all of which will help Sanders, who is a photography enthusiast, bring his bright future into focus.
“I feel like if I keep on this path to engineering, it will allow me to better my community and the world as a whole.”

“Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules,” an all-new animated movie based on the second book in Jeff Kinney’s wildly popular book series, comes exclusively to Disney+ December 2, 2022. The riotous antics of angst-ridden, disaster prone, middle school student Greg Heffley continue in “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules,” focusing this time around on his complicated relationship with older brother Rodrick. A spikey-haired high school student, Rodrick is lazy and undisciplined, and spends way too much time practicing with his rock band, Löded Diper. While he loves to torment Greg, he ultimately has a deep affection for his younger brother.
An epic period fantasy series with a modern sensibility set in an enchanted land of breathtaking beauty, “Willow” features a diverse international cast with Jonathan Kasdan, Ron Howard, Wendy Mericle, Kathleen Kennedy, and Michelle Rejwan serving as executive producers. The story began with an aspiring magician from a Nelwyn village and an infant girl destined to unite the realms, who together helped destroy an evil queen and banish the forces of darkness. Now, in a magical world where brownies, sorcerers, trolls, and other mystical creatures flourish, the adventure continues, as an unlikely group of heroes set off on a dangerous quest to places far beyond their home, where they must face their inner demons and come together to save their world.
Greetings, Programs! I’ve loved “TRON” since first discovering this digital world as a child in the 1980s. Imagine my delight when asked to write about the thrilling new attraction racing into Walt Disney World Resort – TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise. If this article was turned into a major motion picture, the opening narration might sound something like this (cue synthesizer):
“TRON Lightcycle / Run. A new attraction. I tried to picture Lightcycles as they moved through the Grid in Tomorrowland. What did they look like? Were they fast? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I’d never see. Until April 4, 2023 – the day TRON Lightcycle / Run will officially open in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.”
I haven’t felt this excited since I saw a Lightcycle from “TRON: Legacy” on display at the D23 Expo in 2009.
When “TRON: Legacy” was released in December 2010, I saw it five times in theaters followed by countless viewings at home on Blu-ray and Disney+. I even named my tuxedo cat Kevin Flynn, a nod to the brilliant computer programmer and original designer of the Grid in the film. The Lightcycle battle was one of the film’s most dazzling visual displays – I wanted to ride one! More than a decade later, that dream is coming true with this attraction’s opening at Walt Disney World.
When you enter the queue at Magic Kingdom, you’ll feel as if you’re digitized and transported to the Grid for a special Lightcycle race. It’s your Team Blue against the Grid’s menacing Programs, Team Orange. Your goal is to be the first to race through eight Energy Gates and secure victory. The attraction will be one of the fastest coasters at any Disney theme park in the world.
Before the attraction officially opens, cast members will be the first to enter the Grid during special previews. And I heard preview opportunities are coming for guests too, including Annual Passholders and eligible Disney Vacation Club Members.
All those hours (and quarters) playing the “TRON” arcade game have prepared me for this moment. See you in the Grid. END OF LINE.
The “platinum dripping” ear styles have arrived for the Walt Disney Company 100th anniversary celebrations. We found these Disney100 Mickey & Minnie Commemorative Ears at Uptown Jewelers in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
Disney100 Mickey Ear Hat – $195.00
These glimmering, shimmering Mickey Mouse commemorative ear hat is “dripping” in ”platinum” and themed to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of The Walt Disney Company.
Although these ears look like they would be heavy to wear, the “platinum” is made from a highly reflective plastic.
The “dripping platinum” covers nearly the entire hat. Sections of the black felt base peek out from the bottom and on the ears.
The interior of the Mickey Ear Hat is covered in midnight black fabric and patterned with the Disney100 logo, twinkling stars, and fireworks.
A black elastic chin strap makes it easily wearable for most heads. Although, this hat seems destined for a display case than on someone’s head.
Disney100 Minnie Mouse Ear Headband – $175.00
Not to be outdone, Minnie gets her own glistening ear headband. The entire headband is in black fabric with “platinum” dripping from the top of the ears. A large silvery bow finishes the look.
Minnie’s signature bow is made from a shiny silver fabric and generously padded.
Both ears feature the “dripping platinum paint” cascading down from the top of each ear.
It is highly reflective and drips past the bottom of the ears.
The interior of the headband is made from a nonslip black fabric that will ensure it will stay secure on your head.
The effect continues on the back of the ear headband.
The side of the headband has “Disney100” embroidered in silver thread.
If you wish to view the items in person, you may encounter some reluctance from the Cast Members. However, if you ask politely, they will likely oblige and remove the items from their display case for you to view. Please note that you may only be allowed to handle the items for a limited amount of time.
